Privacy Policy

yankd does not collect anything. The application makes no outbound network connections. There is no telemetry, no analytics, and no crash reporting unless you explicitly turn it on.

What stays on your machine

Your clipboard history lives in an encrypted SQLite database at ~/Library/Application Support/ai.dfacto.yankd/. The encryption key is in your macOS Keychain. We have no copy of either and no way to obtain one.

What we do process

• Purchases. Handled by our merchant of record, who is the data controller for payment data. We receive your email address and an order id in order to issue and re-issue your licence.
• Support email. Kept until the matter is resolved, then deleted on request.
• This website. Static, no cookies, no third-party analytics.

Sync (Pro)

Sync is end-to-end encrypted. If you use the hosted relay it stores ciphertext it cannot read; LAN peer sync involves no server at all. Neither is enabled unless you turn it on.

Your rights

Access, correction and deletion of the little we hold: support@dfacto.ai. Your clipboard data is not ours to delete — Settings → Storage → Clear history does that, and export is unrestricted at every tier.
